Kerrang

We set up our own studio to take our own images to use on the front of the rock magazine Kerrang. By using the camera and by moving the lights to create different lighting effects we were able to create some good effective images to use as a front cover.

This was one of the resources we were given so that we knew what each different lighting made our images say. Also it helped us decide where we should have out lights so we got the most effective image.

In this image we had the lighting from the sides. We also used props to make the pictures look more realistic for the front of a music magazine.  I like this image because I like the effect the lighting has on the models.

I also like this image because again I like the lighting because I like the shadows it has created on the faces of the models. I was able to create this lighting by just having the light on the right hand side of the photographer.

After creating the images and experimenting with different lighting effects we were given a template for a Kerrang magazine and then had to edit our images by rotating them to create different front page images.

I like how each one of the Kerrang covers have turned out however if I was to re-do the images I would have moved the lights for the top two images so that they weren't as dark, unlike the bottom two which I really light the lighting.
